Are you pro-life or pro-choice?

"The last time that the government was given complete 'control' over life [death] was during World War II in Germany--the Holocaust."

Actually, the last time that happened was 5 minutes ago, in North Korea ... but I hear what you're saying. Who is the final authority of your life, IplaytoRelax? Who sets the moral benchmarks in your life? I know the answer: It is yourself. If the government would legalize murder tomorrow, I'm sure you wouldn't just go around and start killing people, because your worldview hadn't changed despite the changed laws. You view destroying a would-be human being as morally wrong, I don't. I had a ham sandwich this morning, the little piggie wasn't asked if he would sacrifice its life for the sake of my stomach. So if murder happens for a good reason (hunting, revenge, in war, self-defense etc.), .... quite frankly, I don't see the evilness in that.
Biological tissue isn't sacred (yea, I watched that Monty Python video too), human rights aren't for granted, it's a concept we deviced to make living conditions bearable. And if a unwanted child is going to ruin a woman's life, I say: Kill the little bugger before it is too late. Before it matures and gains the right to be given a name and considered a human being. I mean, have you ever seen a fetus? Looks more like a baby lizard than anything resembling a person.
I came back after a few ciders to put this debate to sleep. Unfortunately, I can't be bothered to read through the argument, so I am going to have sex with a slut and forget to use a condom.
I'm also playing chess - so if you want rating points, it would be similiar. Just don't make me do anything I might regret in the morning.
#52. Actually, Rise, the ultimate and final authority of my life is God. And, not only for me, but for everyone. Being the ultimate authority, he doesn't 'need' humans to recognize his control to legitimize it. However, this is a separate topic, and one that, I believe, had been discussed already.
Truth--I forgot about North Korea.
"So if murder happens for a good reason (hunting, revenge, in war, self-defense etc.), .... quite frankly, I don't see the evilness in that." That makes no sense. Why, then, do we have laws and courts? Then if this is the case, if someone murders someone else, he can tell the judge "Yeah, well, I had a great reason for doing it." And, the judge should have no authority to punish the murderer, because his motive seemed 'good' to himself.
Hold on to your convictions. If opinions are like fish, then yours are mere fossils. At least they aren't "dead" babies.

Carry on, carry on.
You invoke dog? That is evil - you are incapable of dealing with a decision - you have to outsource it? Psychopath 101.
They are now called sociopaths, psychopath is outdated. *nerdy glasses* 8\

:( I know, though I think the last laugh is on us :( We're doomed and I think that is there ultimate high five :(
