Time until cheaters get caught

To add to #20, most cheaters comes with a pattern; they cheat in arena games, outside arena games; uses an engine for all the moves, uses an engine for only the most crucial moves; has steady time usage, purposefully messes up with their time management to look legitimate; the tough kind of cheaters are the ones who make their patterns complicated so it's difficult to catch them, as if the pattern is non-existent.

When we come upon the tough kind of cheaters, we usually don't mark on sight. It's always a possibility that we put them on a watchlist and eventually get confident enough to mark them.
Ok, then may I make a suggestion? Can there be an option in my personal settings to stop the players who did not play certain amount of games from joining my games? I.e. blocking not only by rating, but also by the number of games played in certain variation. I would probably set this value to 100 games, which would reduce the amount of "fresh cheaters" dramatically.
That's a feature that a lot of people have been asking for. There seems to be 2 camps on this.

The first camp is obvious - we don't want to play cheaters, ergo we don't want to play people who are provisional and just using their fresh account to cheat, whether that be by an engine or simply the fact they're an alt.

The second camp defends the status quo thusly: If they are provisional, you won't lose as much rating when you play them, and if they cheated you, your rating will be back to wherever it should be after a few games. If you stop people from playing these provisional accounts, they will remain at the lower ratings longer since no one is playing them and thereby make it take longer for them to get sorted out of your normal rating filter anyway, and longer for the cheaters to get into the higher rankings where there is more scrutiny.

Honestly, I don't agree with that assessment. I think regardless of providing a feature to filter out provisional players they will find their games. Legitimate players can hit the arena and build their rating up that way. Cheaters would be more likely to be forced into the arena where there is more scrunity over their games and more liklihood they'll get reported. It also would allow preventing casual games against unknown players, alts, and new engine accounts. Furthermore, accounts which have been already flagged could be added into this classification and thereby also be filtered away.
I just feel like listing my favorite players on the site here. I'm always looking forward to playing them in a tournament.

Anonymous cheats from time to time... But for some reason not consistently!
Thanks for the list, I'm reviewing them all. Now, it's forbidden to post that publicly. From now on, you'll be using the report form only: lichess.org/report
