What do you mean by "bearable"?
I prefer Lichess. Much better analytics, no ads and overall I think better ping.
@Sarg0n you get diamond for free. There is quite good videos and the opening explorer is ok. Depends if you can be bothered verifying yourself to them.
The chess is pretty unbearable. Especially in faster games. The lag is very noticeable.

I had a CC account way back in 2012 and at that time it was the worst site I knew. Ads, slow, green, ugly. Brrr! Closed.
Today I have those unlimited playchess accounts created 10/2001 and I am premium member at chess24 (nice videos!) - that's enough I guess.

V3 chess.com is the slower, unfrendly and crappy site in the entire web.....
i have a medium pc and to play bullet is almost impossible.
slow, lags, when you move the pieces seems like if every pieces weigh 10kilos.....
is a site with a 10 years ago style.....seems windows XP style.....

Funny. I play nothing but bullet on chess.com and have zero lag.
I play here too, mostly blitz, and things also work fine.
I have a premium membership with no ads, but using an ad blocker, there are no ads even with a standard membership.
The new version which I've been using exclusively for 3 years is very sleek and modern and, to me, very fast.
The features are too many to enumerate.
But since this is lichess, most people here are going to cheer the home team. I don't blame them.
But at the same time, all the criticisms I read hear concerning chess.com I've never experienced. That's all I can say about that.

i have also a cc account like you with more than 800 games played, but only you are happy of V3.....
if you read the chess.com news about v3 and the death of v2, thousand of users insults V3 threatening to leave chess.com.
For this reason V2 is still there, because chess.com would have lost thousands users and titled players......
....then now, with the ridicolous thing of achievements trophies, (i won a trophy because i logged in 3 time in a day.....), chesscom is becoming a videogame......

I don't have use for those achievement things either, so I turned them off. shrug...It's no a big deal unless you decide to make it one.

Personally, I'd like them to end v2, run one platform and concentrate on v3 but until then, people do have an option. Any suggestion that people have or would leave in droves is sensationalism, not fact.
And it's not "only" me who is satisfied with v3. That's just words.
