Was working until today and suddenly stopped logging in. The device is Samsung Note 5. Reinstalling lichess and rebooting the device didn't help. I can access from computer but mobile. Please help!
Hello, the same thing happened to me, for no apparent reason I cannot connect to the server with the phone with the message "lichess org is unreachable. Failed to fetch." but yes with a tablet or computer. I have also tried reinstalling liches but I still can't connect. Android v 6.0.1

Why don't you play from your phone browser?
It better because there is no lag and you can see things like trophies and rank in the profiles.

As all of you have said, the versions of Android you are using are "old". For such versions from now on it is impossible to use the app, except that for offline use.
This is due to Lichess certificate expiration (Let's Encrypt). In fact, it had already occured in the passed 2022, but the developers had bypassed it with a technical trick that would have been lasting till to 2024.
The only solution for "dated" devices for continuing to use the app is to get the root. In 2022 the block of the connection to the Lichess server was absolute, that is app plus browser (usually Chrome on Android), but now, thanks to a new policy of managing certificates by Google, it is only the app to be interdicted.
Anyway, the web version is full-featured (all you get by the app you get on the browser but not vice versa). So if you like analysis of a game, user's followers and so on, you'll get it!
