Too many trolls and haters

I'm diappointed you haven't bothered to suggest anything like the outline of a mechanism or rough implementation pointers, having come up with the idea, and amazed nobody else has either, 20 posts in.

Let's first agree that punishment must be grounded in facts, and culpability proven beyond all reasonable doubt. You wouldn't go about punishing people without necessary and sufficient reason, would you? Now, to use another meaning of the word, people have reason, right? Let's use it!

May I propose (keeping an open mind about the details - *don't thumb this down* just because it may not be the most efficient way to deal with it - I mean, what do I know about forum UX design) a system whereby each reaction can be voted "Helpful", "Suspect" or "Defo Troll", which would allow for easy, click-efficient crowd-"wisdom" gathering to enable reaction-rating, additionally providing yet more data to mine for those who are into that kind of thing.

I'm not sure that last sentence was long enough to warrant a horsey; how about you?

I'd appreciate one anyway.
At least his motivation is honorable ... just report someone if they're abusing reactions?
it would be rather weird to limit what you can thumbs down or whatever on. If the problem is troll that spams it, then maybe simply add a limit. Like 5 expression per day. I never use expression so i dont know how many one need but 5 sound enough. Then you have to save the like thumbs of for something really special instead of just spamming it.

For me i dont like the likes, thumbs up etc, becuase for same reason like facebook, instagram and all this stuff, they added it just because they want to hock people in, people get addictive to it (getting likes etc on posts). It might sound silly but you do get some kind of chemical release in the brain when you see that like number goes up. A little bit like the rating system in chess tbh :P. Like for example check the amounth of games you have, and imagen if you had play from start but this time you wouldnt have any rating or atleast see it, Matchmaking etc would still be the same, do you think you would play the same amounth of games as you would with the rating number?
Seems reasonable, except that they can be misclicks, especially when a touchscreen is used. Misclicked reactions can be usually removed in a few minutes or maybe few hours if their internet gets disconnected, but usually few minutes with reasonable lag compensation (if any) when online.
i have also seen many just don't pay attention to them report and move on . remember that trollers will troll hatters will hate but we must not get dismotivated seeing that . when anyone does that to me i think " there r many guys who r mad we must not listen to all of them "

You were the one who started accusing people of trolling (hacking).
Please read lichess.org/page/forum-etiquette, at Public Shaming.
Thank you. Have a nice day!
No specific person here is called out in particular. This has nothing to do with public shaming. But eh, just point fingers cuz whynot?
