an atomic game I played (please give me feedback on my technique)

8. Bh3 was a great move, and wins on the spot. After 8...Bb4 you can take on d7 first and win instead of c3.

8...d6 had to be played, but you're up a queen with an easy game

g4+h4+g5 is kind of risky, but it payed off pretty well here. Watch out for stuff like Qa5, but here it didn't really work for black.

Not much to look at, you did great
My advice is to be careful and learn patterns! 8. Bh3 looks good at first, but black should have played the counterattacking 8... 0-0, threatening Rxf2#, so 8. Bh3 is not actually winning, but 8... 0-0 is difficult to find. After 8. 0-0, white's position needs to be defended with care: probably best is 9. Bf5 or 9. f3 (though this is passive). Also, explosions can be played against anything, even checks! So you could have won one move earlier because after 8... Bb4, you have 9. Bxd7#. You played the opening well, but yes, somewhat risky to move all the pawns, especially around your kingside. Moves such as g2-g4 and f2-f3 (and b2-b4 and c2-c3) are often used to restrict opponent's knights since these pawn moves guard key squares. However, too many pawn moves can be weakening so choose them with care!
