Article in Science (& Chessbase) re AI can detect a player's style; based on 50m games at lichess

There is an article on the chessbase site re new research based on 50m games at lichess. The author, Matthew Hutson, wrote in 'Science' to the affect that AI can detect a player's individual style.

Sorry I don't work much with codes (yet), what seem to be the ethical reasons as mentioned in toronto article which disallows public release? (I recall various personality tests, including in chess, which 'can detect a players style' but not based on lichess games but isnt subject(?) to ethical problems?)
But does the code function alone (will a knowledgable person be able to use the AI from the codes, on near) or will it need something special? It said that public code release was out there, I just don't know how to make it like work?
