Associated Press - Russians take Ukraine nuclear plant; no radiation after fire

> KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russian troops Friday seized the biggest nuclear power plant in Europe after a middle-of-the-night attack that set it on fire and briefly raised worldwide fears of a catastrophe in the most chilling turn in Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine yet.
>
> Firefighters put out the blaze, and no radiation was released, U.N. and Ukrainian officials said, as Russian forces pressed on with their week-old offensive on multiple fronts and the number of refugees fleeing the country topped 1.2 million.
>
> While the vast Russian armored column threatening Kyiv appeared stalled outside the capital, President Vladimir Putin’s military has launched hundreds of missiles and artillery attacks on cities and other sites around the country, and made significant gains on the ground in the south in an apparent bid to cut off Ukraine’s access to the sea.

I know someone is going to suggest "well this post didn't get removed because OP is a Lichess staff member" but grow up... I am attempting to impartially report on current events so they can be discussed.
War is already dumb, but bombing a nuclear plant is among the stupidest ideas I've seen.
I am not worried of a catastrophe.
Nuclear power plants are built to withstand such attacks.
The safety of current nuclear plants are vastly superior to that of Chernobyl in '86.

No I am not, but Bent Lauritzen is.
(Danish Senior Scientist with expertise in Radiation Physics.)

"When we talk about acts of war, it is difficult to imagine what scale it could be on," Bent Lauritzen emphasizes, adding:
“But as a starting point, even a missile will hardly lead to serious damage to the plant. That's because of the reactor enclosure."
