This is what I get being a positional player over a tactical player.
http://en.lichess.org/Mp3k1BJE/white I get the most winning positions and miss something simple due to bad calculation. :(
I'm predominately a positional player as well. No one can be a purely positional or purely tactical player. Great positions beget great tactics. And great tactics are the bi-product of a good position. You cannot escape learning simple tactics, although you can play openings that lead to fewer tactical variations (e.g. the London System). I recommend, for your rating, do easy tactics on this site and watch tactical masters on YouTube (e.g. chessbrahs). Good luck!
